Frequently Asked Questions |
Q: What should I wear? A: Sturdy shoes. Boots are recommended but tennis shoes will work. NO open toed shoes. Pants that cover your whole leg, Shorts and Capri's will leave you with some terrible sores. Bring a jacket along. You never know what weather to expect. Sunglasses and hats are good to have but not required. Q: What other items might I need? A: Sunscreen, camera, water bottle, day pack, poncho, trail snacks, and anything to make you more comfortable. We do have sodas and water for you, but if you are particular in what you like we recommend bringing your own. Q: What should I expect? A: Our rides are a little different form others you may have been on before. We ride on a private ranch that is far away from the noise of town. After we meet, you are then chauffeured by four-wheel drive to the ranch. From there we get you matched and fitted to a horse. After some instruction we head down the trail stopping along the way to take pictures and readjust equipment if necessary. After the ride is over and we pry you from your horse we load back up and return you to your vehicles. There is approximately 1 hour of total drive time. Q: What are your trails like? A: Our trails are horse trails. We do not ride roads or atv trails. They are well maintained but do have some obstacles that we think just add to the riding enjoyment. Q: Is there any wildlife on The Quarter Circle HM Ranch? A: Of course. Morning and evening rides are the best to view the many deer and elk that call our ranch home. Some Trail Riding Outfits worry about a car or buzzing motorcycle spooking a horse, but around here the only thing that will spook your horse is riding up on a nested turkey or grouse or maybe sneaking up on a deer during its afternoon nap. |
